Instructions to make to make Carrot Beetroot Cutlet

  1. Assemble all ingredients
  2. In moderately heated pan, add oil add ginger + 1 green chilli and sauté for few seconds, then add carrot + beetroot and sauté for 3-4 minutes.
  3. Then add salt + haldi + garam masala, mix well and sauté for another 3-4 minutes, don’t overcook.
  4. I made bread crumbs at home, toasted bread pieces and churn in mixer grinder, bread crumbs is ready.
  5. Mashed potatoes
  6. Then add carrot + beetroot mix to mashed potato + bread crumbs and mix well. Give shape of cutlets or any shape of your choice.
  7. Make slurry by adding maida + salt + red chilli powder + water. We need a thin slurry but not watery slurry.
  8. Now dip cutlet in slurry, then coat with bread crumbs all over nicely and keep aside. Do this process with each cutlets.
  9. Now in pan add oil, shallow fry cutlets under low to medium flame till golden brown, flip the other side and fry well.
  10. Now cutlets are ready.
  11. Serve with green chutney or tomato sauce.
